OLDIES BUT GOODIES

I TOOK A FEW HOURS ON SATURDAY TO DO A LITTLE ESTATE SALE SHOPPING.
THE FIRST THREE STOPS WERE A BIG BUST. I WALKED AWAY FROM THEM WITHOUT SPENDING A PENNY! ON MY WAY HOME I SPIED AN ESTATE SALE SIGN AND STARTED TO JUST DRIVE ON BY. THE WEATHER WAS STORMY AND I THOUGHT-JUST GO HOME! BUT--------THEN MY ESTATE SALE DIVIINING ROD KICKED INTO GEAR AND I WHIPPED MY CAR AROUND, PARKED A BLOCK WAY AND WALKED TO THE SALE IN POURING DOWN RAIN. JUST SO YOU KNOW-TRUE OREGONIANS DON'T WEAR COATS, HATS OR UMBRELLAS IN THE RAIN-WE GET WET SO OFTEN-WE KNOW WE WILL DRY-IN TIME!
IT WAS ONE OF THOSE GREAT SALES WITH LOTS OF TRULY OLD, OLD THINGS AT REALLY GOOD, DID I SAY GOOD-I MEANT GREAT PRICES! I HAVE NOT BEEN TO MANY SALES LATELY, AND CERTAINLY NONE THAT MADE MY HEART PITTER, PATTER WITH EXCITMENT AS THIS ONE DID. I DON'T KNOW WHAT WENT OUT THE DOOR BEFORE I GOT THERE IN THE LATE AFTERNOON-BUT I AM THRILLED WITH WHAT I DID FIND. I WENT BACK TODAY AND PICKED UP SOME OTHER GREAT FINDS. MORE PICTURES IN A COUPLE OF DAYS. IN THE MEAN TIME-ENJOY XO DIANA AND DONNA

Oooo! Christmas! Buttons! Old, lacy clothes! Black and white photos! I agree. It doesn't get much better than that.
