DANCING IN THE GREEN FORMAL

I THINK THE WORLD NEEDS MORE GREEN FORMALS TO PICK UP AT THE SPUR OF THE MOMENT -TO DANCE AND CELEBRATE ALL THAT IS GOOD IN LIFE-LAUGHTER AND FRIENDSHIP! I HAVE TOYED WITH THE IDEA OF HAVING A FORMAL COLLECTION AND HAVE BOUGHT, SOLD OR GIVEN AWAY FAIRY TALE, CINDERELLA DRESSES FROM TIME TO TIME. I THINK FROM NOW ON I WILL COLLECT THEM SO WE CAN PUT THEM ON-[IF ONLY THROUGH THE SLEEVES] AND LAUGH AND DANCE AND SHARE EACH OTHERS COMPANY!

A MAGICAL DAY!

Qh my gosh did we have a magical day with the weather, our fabulous shoppers and hard working friends who came out to help us with the sale. First of all, can you tell I am in love with Erin Hollister's flowers. They were so beautiful, fresh and natural-and looked so perfect at the barn. Truly, Country Living should have been there as the flowers looked liked they jumped right off the pages of one of their magazine spreads!

I want to give Joe and Jermonne a big thank you for again coming out and helping with all things during the sale. They even left for a bit and came back after picking up Olivia, their new off spring to add to their growing herd and flock of animals and fowl to help us pack up! I will be there July17th to help get ready for the flea market sale on Saturday, July 18th, 2009 so get your honey do list ready!

Although Natalie from Sparrow could not be at the sale-she AGAIN made the most fabulous cake! It was vanilla, with vanilla, butter cream frosting and a melt in your mouth, to die for piece of heaven! Joe of Barn House cut me a slice and started to ask if I wanted half of the piece-he took one look at my face in mid sentence and started laughing-who on earth would want only a half a piece of home made cake for breakfast? NOT ME! I have a saying in my house about home made baked goods-in house-in mouth for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Out of house -out of mouth. So mostly home baked goods stay out of the house-but when opportunity knocks - I take full advantage of the goodies!

Tomorrow, I will do more pictures of the sale and introduce some great new and old firends who came to visit.

When things get a little to busy for me, usually one of three things happen: 1. I loose my glasses. 2. I loose my car keys 3. I loose both. Now I get to add a #4! I lock my keys in the car. The saving grace is that the sunroof gods were smiling down on me and the sunroof was open! I was able go through the sunroof and with the aid of a hanger, get the keys out of the cup holder. So enjoy your LAUGH-as both Donna and I were bent over laughing SO HARD that tears were rolling down our cheeks at the site of me hanging upside down trying to fetch those missing keys.

HEY YOU FRENCHIES OUT THERE!

Donna and I participated in our first ever blog swap. One Saturday evening about a month ago, I was checking out blogs and ran into Sweet Pea who was wishing she was in Paris and was creating a swap. SO...I read it and thought wouldn't that be fun to do. To make a long story short, I responded right then and there that we were in and low and behold-we were given partners. How fun is that to get to send new friends from blogland small treasures that remind one of Paris. So here is to you LuLu, 2chippys and Mary, Vintage Patina, a sneak peak at what is in the mail heading your way! Have fun with gay Paree!

We are working at the Barn getting ready for the sale on Saturday, June 27, 2009. We have been busy shopping, creating and displaying for the up and coming show. Hope you will join us for the fun. I will do daily updates to tease and entice! Currently, we have so much stuff crammed into our space that one can not find a direct path from one end of the area to the other. We will also be expanding outside as the weather promises to be fabulous!
